The Philippines, with its immense insular dispersion, enjoys a vibrant tropical climate. Orchestrating your trip in the right time window is vital to ensuring calm seas, ideal for private sailing and diving. Here is our experts’ seasonal guide:
Main draw: The quintessential Philippine summer. It is the dry season at its peak, with radiant sunny days and clear skies. It is undoubtedly the perfect time for island hopping in Palawan and diving in crystal-clear waters.
Keep in mind: April and May are the hottest months of the year. Additionally, it coincides with local holidays (such as Holy Week, celebrated with great fervor), which significantly increases demand on the most popular islands.
Key dates: Holy Week (between March and April) is a period of profound cultural intensity, where streets fill with colorful and moving processions. Due to extremely high demand, booking exclusive villas must be managed well in advance.
Main draw: A greener, more intimate Philippines, free from crowds. While the north and center receive the first rains of the southwest monsoon (Habagat), southern destinations like Siargao (the surfing mecca) and certain areas of Mindanao begin to offer excellent conditions and a more stable climate.
Keep in mind: It is the low season. Showers are frequent, especially in the afternoons, and typhoons can occasionally affect the northern region (Luzon). We recommend focusing the trip on luxury wellness retreats or exploring islands less affected by the monsoon.
